Social Impact
Swiss Standards & Operations
At GRÜEZI, social responsibility is integrated into how we source, produce, and operate. Our approach follows Swiss standards of quality, transparency, and accountability.
We work with locally and regionally based partners for roasting, logistics, packaging, and services wherever possible, in order to support regional expertise, reduce unnecessary transport, and maintain consistent operational standards.
Sourcing & People
We source coffee from producers and importers who meet established social and environmental standards and support long-term stability.
In Brazil, Fazenda Salto focuses on sustainable land management and workforce development.
In India, smallholder farmers cultivate shade-grown coffee that preserves biodiversity and soil health.
In Ethiopia, the Lalisaa programme supports farmers through training, quality incentives, access to finance, and direct trade partnerships.
Our sourcing prioritises fair trading relationships, responsible farming practices, and transparent collaboration.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
We select coffees based on origin, production methods, and consistency, and prioritise traceable supply chains wherever possible.
Processing methods are chosen to balance quality and responsible resource use, including solar drying in Brazil, wet processing in India, and raised-bed drying in Ethiopia.
We regularly review our sourcing and operations to strengthen environmental performance, social standards, and transparency.
